Happy Days was an American TV show that ran from 1974 until 1984. Set in the 1950's, it featured a number of well known TV actors including Henry Winkler (The Fonz), Tom Bosley (Mr. Cunningham), Ron Howard (Richie), and Erin Moran (Joanie).
During the early years of the show, Joanie talks occasionally about a friend named Jenny Piccalo who is absolutely infatuated with boys.
It was not until the 8th season of Happy Days that Jenny Piccalo appeared in the show. She was played by Cathy Silvers who was a 17 year old New York native. Cathy's father was a famous comedian in the 1960's named Phil Silvers. She grew up in Beverly Hills and was neighbors with Milton Berle and Lucille Ball.
Well, fast forward to 2020. Cathy Silvers, now 58, has aged well. She stays in shape, eats well, and could pass for a 50 year old. In February of this year, Cathy took a little spill while mountain biking with a male friend. It was their second 'date' together.
I am not sure about you but when I go on 'dates' mountain bikes are not involved. My 'dates' typically involve good wine, a nice dinner, and a toss in the bed with a variety of sex toys including chains and whips.
Cathy impressed the hell out of prospective beau by suggesting they do a little rock climbing in the mountains around Santa Clarita just north of LA. Cathy slipped and managed to break both bones in her lower leg. Cell reception was non-existent so Cathy's 'date' had the pleasure of carrying the former TV star 1.5 miles into the canton where reception was somewhat better.
Cathy described the pain she experienced before her arrival at the hospital as 'unbearable'. Because of their altitude, it took the helicopter over an hour to reach her.
Six weeks after the injury, Cathy was more or less good as new. She went on date number three with her boyfriend while in the cast. I don't think mountain biking was involved.
